Sorry for the lag in posts, I somehow managed to food poison myself and my dear husband on Monday night and still feel pretty horrible but I think I've caught up on sleep for a couple of weeks!

Looking forward to a lovely wedding in the Southern Highlands over the weekend and praying that it doesn't get rained out! In the meantime, will leave you with a couple of pics from an engagement shoot we did a while back of this couple who were newly engaged, and visiting the Sydney half of their family all the way from Sweden. They're getting married in August in a castle....how breathtakingly dreamy!!

Karl & Steph were such a fun couple to shoot, and I might have mentioned to some of you that I thought she bore a strong resemblance to Em Chong (soon to be Chan!)....you can judge for yourselves...

Steph was so funny, she was only meant to stay a couple of weeks but on the day that she came to see the photos she had bought her bling ring (in Sweden, they apparantly wear 'wedding rings' upon engagement and the girl gets her rock on her wedding day!), and then we chatted for ages about wedding gowns and I think she ended up delaying her trip for a couple more weeks to get a dress made and fitted to her coz she wasn't sure what she'd find in Sweden!

All the best to you both!!!

Yay! I can now start populating my 'engagement' category. Introducing the lovely, and oh-so-easygoing Candy and James who'll be getting hitched in March.

My favourite one for the day was this one bathed in golden light. I was experimenting with a new technique and I think I quite like the feel...just over a month to countdown!

(photo from CNY 2006 'lo hei')

It's been such a FAT week with lots of excuses to eat - two awesome CNY dinners at his parents and my parents place respectively with surprise courses to include sharks fin and abalone, not to mention lots of juicy whole steamed fish, yum. Had lunch at the Athenian yesterday (recommend the saganaki prawns, and slow-baked lamb shanks), with lunch at Malaya lined up tomorrow. My stomach is pleading with me stop feeding it but my eyes are a bit too greedy...

February and all it's festivities are going to fly by so fast, and then I can count what's happening on my weekends till pretty much the end of May....it's a bit scary but I'm very excited: photo-filled, wedding-filled, and people-filled just the way I like it, including a trip to Melb squeezed in on the Anzac Day long weekend to visit friends and family.

Happy New Year everybody, don't spend your red packets all at once!

p.s. My dad broke tradition and gave both Joel and I red packets despite our protests that we were married and he wasn't allowed...maybe he's still in denial. Haha! xxx

2008 has been a whirlwind so far, and along with the Year of the Baby, I do believe it's also the Year of Themed Parties. JY's wig party went off, as did Shaz and Mel's bodyart-themed party last night. Discussed the idea of a 'Singapore Sling' farewell Jeebee party, and just opened my inbox to find an invite to an outer-space themed party for my favourite almost-six year old....yay!

Here's a goodie from last night, the rest can be found here.
