| my better half |
Initially, we were hoping for an Autumn style shoot but sadly the beautiful red-gold leaves seem to be falling off the trees at an amazing pace but luckily we managed to spot a few! I think if and when we ever get a house I'm going to partition a whole corner aside for liquid ambers/ autumn leaf trees, and the rest shall be....lemon trees, lime trees, fig trees, strawberry patches, vegie patches, herbs, and... a chicken shed with chickens that lay eggs!

This is one photogenic little sister, I hardly have to direct her at all!

What beautiful colours all round...reminds me of:
~ Indescribable, Chris Tomlin~
"From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings..."

Spent a lovely afternoon with these girls who were, to say the least, surprised to see Joel and I and all our gear greet them with a big smile. There was a mix of shock, disbelief, and a good dose of humour as they realised that their surprise was not paintball or a pampering beauty session but in fact, a photoshoot! I hope you girls didn't give Joanna (far left) too much of a hard time for organising this and I hope at the end of it all, you had a great time...looking forward to catching up with you all soon!

They came dressed pretty nicely for a paintball session don't you think? I think they secretly knew what was going on haha. Also fell in love with the texture and strange design of this tree...they were like root-trunks!

Love the lighting in this shot that Joel captured, in his words...'movie lighting'!

A couple of my favourite single portraits...

Thanks girls for such a lovely afternoon and for being such good sports even though it was a little unexpected! I hope you'll be able to treasure these memories and all the good time you girls have shared...and have fun planning your next surprise for Joanna :P!
Yay! Finally getting stuff up on the wall. This one makes me smile.

And throughout it all, there were beautiful speeches, a few more watery eyes, and lots of laughter and entertainment for all!

Boys will be ballers. Here's a glimpse of them boys looking in their formals before the eager change into their white K-swiss casuals which brought a whole new degree of baller to the mix.

Then off we went for some fun in the sun (the boys just needed an excuse to see who had more vertical haha!)

The boys shoes were fighting for attention...

And the bride found out that even on her wedding day, heels will always be heels!

A whole bunch of their friends came around to hang with us during the shoot, so Joel got all the boys who were game enough to risk their knees to share a bit of the lens. Love it!

Bob & Jenny, we had such a wonderful and relaxed time with you guys on the weekend, and feel privileged to share not only your wedding day with you, but your 8th year anniversary as well! You guys rock, and we wish you all the best in the many years still to come! Have a great time continuing your big celebrations in China...but for the moment, here's a bit of Sydney just in case you start to get homesick!

Thank you to Joel for editing this photo for me, he reads my mind perfectly!
