This time last week the clouds were on a holiday and Joel and I were spending a beautiful afternoon on borrowed ground with fellow photographer Jenny Sun. Very much love her photographic style and the moments she captures (esp with that to-die-for f/1.2 lens!!). Jenny had her hair chopped a couple of months back and wanted some new headshots done for her blog, and to my delight, she had chopped it even more last week and I absolutely love it.

So to explain the title of this post (I wasn't being lame!)...it's because both Jenny and I were originally from good ol' Cherrybrook and actually have more in common than we thought, which was a little funny/freaky at first coz we had only known about each other's presence in cyberspace. Having just gotten to know her better in the last few months, it's been great being encouraged by a fellow photographer and sister in Christ so deeply thankful and humble to God for how He has blessed her, and wanting to make sure her walk is in line with His will (so thank you!).
Anyway, back to the pics. I've probably posted more here than I should, but despite her protests, Jen is heaps easy to photograph and all the little nooks and crannies of our location were just begging to be photographed.
Jen and bright colours are a match made in heaven :)

Love them yellow flats, all the way from Paris! Joel used to always tell me you can build your outfit from the shoes up - I thought maybe it just worked for boys, but maybe it's not such a bad theory after all...

Joel took this next pic, I like it lots!

Hawt.

And just coz I felt like it, some fun edits to the end this post. I'm a bit of a fan of old-school and cross-processed looks (though Joel is yet to share this acquired taste). Hopefully some cool images to come when I get back the medium format roll I took in for processing yesterday!!

Thanks again Jen - had a blast trespassing exploring and shooting with you! You're probably enjoying some nice tropical fruits (not to mention tropical weather) right now but wherever you are, I know there will be lots of awesome photos that follow. Keep up the inspiring work, and good luck with that Malaysian launch!!
no way ! you guys know each other - such a small world :)

ps: my dad told me he saw some really awesome country-type locations on th way to playing golf recently. its about 45 mins drive out and I have no idea where he is talking about, but he said I would like it as it has long tall grass, horses and the like... plus he said he saw other photographers there too! I promise once I check it out, if its good, I'll let you know - we can organize another session there!! That is, if you are interested ;)
