RAFW09: Day One

Oh my feet are killing me and my conclusion of the day is that I wish fashion week was only one day long! Okay so I’m exaggerating a little but after the extended waiting periods, pushing, squishing and shoving of the media pit and the way poor celebs are snapped a mile-a-minute to death, I was pretty sure this was not my scene. That said, I honestly had heaps of fun watching the shows and found myself looking out for pretty clothes and gorgeous models more than anything else. I am also quite happy with my pics, thanks to my awesome sneaking into good spot skills, and a couple of new and familiar faces that brightened the day.
The whole lot of us descended on the Camilla and Marc show which opened the week and I quickly ditched my tripod realising the smaller I was, the easier it was to convince people I should stand in front of them so in some cases, being short wasn’t too bad.
Do you spot a familiar face in this crowd? I was rather happy to see her!

I am always amazed by your talents Trish ~ seeing you stand amongst the ‘camera crush’ today @ B&B was hilarious but you shone out because your photos is by far the BEST to come out of them all! (So far the ones posted on Vogue and SMH doesn’t impress me much…) It was really good to see you today and lunch was good. Hope your feet has recovered and keep on doing what you do best! Like the other gals, I love the Emma Lung / Arnsdorf pics! They’re refreshingly different to the standard catwalk pics you see in mags etc. The EL one especially.. love the way you captured the light! Awesome stuff :) x
