From Tuscany to Milan, countryside to cityscape and I remember very little about the place save for adding a leather jacket to my suitcase….so there’s no real Milan photos to show you here.
Arrived at Madrid in the super crazy 35 degree heat and was a little worried at the dominance of sunlight and department stores until we stumbled across PHE09 beginning with an Annie Liebovitz collection right outside our hostel. Turns out these exhibitions, big and small, are scattered throughout Madrid city and so today has been a bit of a treasure hunt, with scores of contributions from photographers all over the world, from around the 1930s to the present day. Definitely a very welcome escape from the heat, we’ve had our eyes opened to the lives of the ordinary and the not so ordinary, from mere existence, to technical masterpieces all in the name of art and the business of storytelling. It makes you wonder what makes a good photo, or whether that doesn’t really matter all that much in the greater scheme of things.

Hehe, I just saw Coco Avant Chanel. (:
Looks like you’re having an AMAZING time – I’m so jealous!
I have a funny story, I was at a cafe near school today and bumped into the SEWN model – she was working as a fit model. I got her headshot card in case I need here, so funny. She said she never got copies of your photos!!!!!

irma: do you mean the redhead or mariana? oh yay glad you got a contact as I didn’t really have much else to go by for you! You can send me email details :)
Its like a biopic of coco chanel before she shot to fame. (: Not very long, slightly under 2 hours. Cinematography was grrreat!
