Hello beautiful day and beautiful people. I woke up this morning and decided it was my first 'real' day of full time photography because it would be the first morning I would otherwise be at work. I have spent the day editing to my hearts' content, with the usual amount of facebook and other forms of welcome distraction. I have also been listening to You & I by Ingrid Michaelson on a bit of repeat and serenading my neighbours as I sing along nice and loud :)

Back to this gorgeous wedding! I had been looking forward to shooting a wedding in the Hunter for a long while but for one reason or another I was never available when dates were requested until finally Laura and Rohan came along and they were definitely worth the wait. I think I should have been born on a farm or something because I love the open space and rolling greens out from the city, and the Hunter with it's woods and vineyards is no exception. Here are some of my faves...

Laura is a designer and she made all the invites and paper goodies herself, as well as a beautiful wedding website with all the important information. I loved the brown paper element to it all, I am a total sucker for brown paper and string :)

A sparkley gift from Laura's mum...

Laura's dress was from Luomo and absolutely suited her perfectly! Luom has a beautiful collection of simple and elegant gowns, especially love this dress with the deeper neckline and pleats.....

Meanwhile, Rohan was making sure everything was going to run smoothly for the ceremony...I like how rustic this little sound system is in this cupboard...

Can't wait to find a time to revisit the Hunter when the vineyards are nice and full!

And as I mentioned before, Laura and Rohan definitely had some amazing vision in mind and paid attention to the details. Often it's the little things that make such a big difference - the little take home packs of biscotti in their brown pegged bags, the hanging metal pots and floating glass baubled candles, and a little wishing tree to leave heartfelt blessings. Everything was beautifully done, and personal too...

Laura and Rohan, thank you so so much for giving Joel and I the best excuse to spend the day enjoying the fresh air of the Hunter and for trusting us with your wedding day. We hope you like the images as much as we enjoyed taking them, looking forward to handing over the rest soon!
