Pwoid + Des: Married!

It’s kind of a little strange and wonderful at the same time, shooting the weddings of people you have grown up with. Pwoid has been one of Joel’s good friend’s since way back, and yes – high school is now very way back. Ever since Pwoid introduced us to Des a couple of years back, it’s been cool to get to know her sweet self a little better and smile at the way they are just so right together.
Because Pwoid always has been the first to take his shirt off, we thought he wouldn’t mind these getting ready pics…
Just a little wet….well, it was kinda pouring…
But the bride arrived nice and dry and in great spirits!
No you’re not confused….here’s Dot, Des’s twin!

The reception was held at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Point Piper and it was a great pick for food, decor, and ambience! Loved the white roses and camellias scattered in a variety of vases across each table.
Many entertaining stories were told…
…and lots of yummy food eaten! I just had to sneak in some pics of the travelling desserts we were all treated to. Such a great idea, allowing everyone to mingle and dance while keeping an eye out for the next mini treat to come by. As you can probably tell….you had to be quick!
The rain pelted all night, but everyone was too busy dancing to notice…
Especially the bride….I didn’t know she was such a dancer!! Although Jax and Tez looking on in awe in the background makes me laugh!
Pwoid and Des, thank you soooo much for letting us capture your wedding….which was a bit of a high school reunion too!! We had such a great time with you both and your families and hope you are having a fab time in the Greek Islands but I don’t think there’s any question about it!

You captured the energy and joy of the wedding really well – the black & white shot of Des and Peter dancing is so emotional.
