Nat & Glenn: Engaged!

engagements | December 24, 2009

My first memory of Nat is the view I had of her perfectly braided hair while sitting behind her cross-legged on the floor in the classroom of the Australian International School in Singapore. This was back when I was in year 5, rather angry that my parents had uprooted my little life in Sydney, and not realising how fun the next few years were going to be. Soon enough my time in Singapore became very sweet and holds the best of memories, thanks to the awesome friends that were made at AIS, and Nat was definitely one of my besties. I left the school after year 7 to come back to Sydney and it wasn’t until a bunch of us decided to have a reunion in Jervis Bay at the end of first year uni did we meet again.

It was also at this fateful reunion where something sparked between Nat and Glenn, who had also been at school with us in those days. After a fun filled weekend, a couple of trips between Sydney and Melbourne, these guys have been inseparable since and I can’t tell you what a joy it was to have Nat call me up and ask if I was free to shoot their wedding. I am soooo excited for you guys and can’t wait for your big day! In the meantime, here are some of the sweet shots we took in between a long session of catching up and yakking our heads off…..enjoy!!

Love love love…

The light was so much fun to play with!

Nat’s dress was absolutely gorgeous and I also rather liked Glenn’s choice of ripped jeans and funky pumpkin coloured shoes!

Glenn decided the road was quiet so they should get a photo on it just because.

And Nat likes getting carried :P

Yay!

Nat and Glenn, thank you so much for such an awesome afternoon and for trusting me with all of this as well. Sorry this post is up a bit late but I think it’s okay because now I can also say have a very very happy birthday Nat, I hope Glenn spoils you lots and I know the coming year is going to be absolutely amazing!!
To everyone else, have a blessed Christmas and New Year! I don’t think I can put into words how wonderful God has been to me this year and I do pray that you each might be able to look back on this year and smile with thankfulness at what has passed and also look ahead to the beauty of the unwritten in 2010, and make the most of it each and every day. Party hard and keep safe!!
Much love, xx

I tried on that exact dress and looked terrible, it’s nice to see it in its glory on her!
