I’m up early to get a haircut and have a couple of minutes to share some thoughts. It’s Joel’s 30th birthday today and while we don’t usually make a big deal of birthdays and the like, this one seems special. We’ve grown old(er) together for the past 15 years or something like that and it’s been an amazing journey of hopes and dreams and lots of change along the way. Today we also settle on a house we will soon call a home, and then escape to the mountains for a cozy weekend away with a few close friends. I can’t wait to start this next part of our lives together, knowing that this home will soon be full of love and craziness with the second along the way and Jesse growing up way too fast. And I can’t thank Joel enough for being beside me every step of the way, doing this thing called life together.
He has also decided to take the next twelve months off work to just be a family together, and help me out with the business while we juggle the changes ahead. I’m stoked. So I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of him in the months ahead (lucky you :P), and I’m also trying to be diligent and post a little more of our lives here just because we can, and one day I know I’ll look back and thank my younger self for it.
