It’s the eve before wedding season officially creeps back upon us with Joel and Zab currently in Darwin enjoying the warm temps and twilight beach markets in preparation for a wedding tomorrow. It’s almost midnight as I type here, enjoying my quiet solitude and a chance to reflect on the fortnight that has passed. We tried out best to max out this quiet week, having run around most of the last few weeks doing errands for the house, having various tradies in every other day, and waiting for bits and pieces of furniture and other goodies to arrive – the fruits of my online shopping adventures.
So…what else would you do in a quiet week but get some eyelash extensions? (Haha okay in all honesty I had been thinking about doing this for the past couple of years but never put my mind to it until Viv suggested we do it last week. Pretty happy with them but I don’t think I’m addicted just yet!) We also painted one wall of our house in blackboard paint which I have been wanting to do for ages but could never do so in a rental unit….loving it! A couple of cafe trips to favourites like The Grounds, and FourAteFive were always savoured, and I even found the time to do a little baking for myself and the neighbours to say a little hello. Monday was definitely a highlight, taking a drive in this beautiful weather to see little Pippa Pobke and her mama in Canberra although parental efforts to get the bubbas to show a little affection to each other didn’t quite go as planned haha! Came home to find surprise goodies from Papercookie and Kinfolk patiently waiting on my doorstep, the latter thoroughly enjoyed while under a beautiful new silk quilt my parents decided to call a housewarming present, all the way from China. Thanks mum and dad!
Feeling very blessed, and hugely refreshed for the season! Much love xoxoxo
