There’s something a bit special we wanted to share with you today. When my sweet friend Anh contacted us last year to ask if we’d be interested to document her little boy’s first day of school we couldn’t think of anything more perfect. We adore her kids and know just how much love this family has, each for the other, and in every way possible. I laughed at Joel and myself for getting so caught up in everything that we couldn’t help but get a little misty-eyed ourselves as we shared in the anticipation and emotion of the morning. I guess we were thinking about our own littlies growing up a little too fast too.
A and Q, thank you so very much for asking us to do this for you. Thank you for letting us into your home and into your hearts. We are so honoured to have been able to do this, and hope that this little milestone captured will become even more precious with time. Big, big hugs. xoxoxo

What can I say, Trish? This is so heartfelt and I think could only have been made by another mom and pop :) I’ve watched this three times, cried and had to dig up my own pics of my girls’ first days – and cried some more. What a treasure!

It’s amazing how modern technology has allowed for creative documentation of special days such as this one. Tyler would definitely appreciate all the efforts that have gone into the video when he gets older. I still have photos of myself on the first day of school and they hold such a special place in my heart till this day.
