Had a most exhilarating afternoon yesterday which I originally thought I wouldn't blog about simply because without pictures, I wouldn't be able to do the experience justice. I since managed to figure out how to bluetooth the goodies from my phone onto the computer so here we are. Yesterday's "secret" team building exercise ended up being the Best Fun Ever. I'm not sure if many of you have heard about this before (I certainly hadn't), but we had an afternoon of circus activities - tightrope walking, juggling, trampolining, and the best part - trapeze flying!

I'm very much one for activities on the ground, I'm extremely scared of heights, and would probably die from a heart attack if I was made to sky dive or bungee jump. But team bonding is team bonding, and in any case, it looked kind of fun. Except for the ladder. The very very tall ladder. I scaled it as fast as I could because if I stopped for a moment I knew I would look down and that would be a terrible mistake. And if you ever do it, believe me, that part is definitely the hardest part...on par with reaching for the trapeze bar while your toes hang off a 2m x 1m rickety plank. But then... there's a great leap of faith and the most awesome flying feeling as you pendulum through a great expanse of air and wait for the moment of zero gravity to try and hang upside down like you used to do on the monkey bars as a kid. Pure Awesome.

Here's a link to the troupe if you're interested in trying it out - Circus Arts Trapeze School!

The last thing we tried was a 'catch', involving a very carefully timed jump, monkey bar hang, and monkey-grip grab by both you and a trained trapeze artist hanging from another bar. Managed to catch this with my trusty little camera phone...

Unfortunately, that's not me. I was trying so hard to time everything perfectly my mind flipped out and and I forgot to let go of the bar! Boo!! Here is me failing my attempt, and here is how it's meant to be done....enjoy!

1) My dear husband has yet again helped me out bigtime by updating my main site, made with love. Thank you!

2) After a massive ten hour sleep last week (I think I get this once a year or something) I've felt rather refreshed myself. I think I'm also on some kind of empathic-adrenaline after my best friend had her first baby last Sunday, Emily Angela Woo. And since it's the same best friend's birthday today, I get another excuse to see her yippee!

Have a great weekend all, I'll be back with some new stuff in the next couple of days.

P.S. I'm usually a summer girl, but this winter weather is peacefully perfect.

Yay! Finally getting stuff up on the wall. This one makes me smile.

It's been such a FAT week with lots of excuses to eat - two awesome CNY dinners at his parents and my parents place respectively with surprise courses to include sharks fin and abalone, not to mention lots of juicy whole steamed fish, yum. Had lunch at the Athenian yesterday (recommend the saganaki prawns, and slow-baked lamb shanks), with lunch at Malaya lined up tomorrow. My stomach is pleading with me stop feeding it but my eyes are a bit too greedy...

February and all it's festivities are going to fly by so fast, and then I can count what's happening on my weekends till pretty much the end of May....it's a bit scary but I'm very excited: photo-filled, wedding-filled, and people-filled just the way I like it, including a trip to Melb squeezed in on the Anzac Day long weekend to visit friends and family.

Happy New Year everybody, don't spend your red packets all at once!

p.s. My dad broke tradition and gave both Joel and I red packets despite our protests that we were married and he wasn't allowed...maybe he's still in denial. Haha! xxx
