| my better half |
I'm back!! The last week was incredibly well spent making our way through windy mountains and snowy slopes, eating everything that's worth eating in Queenstown, and soaking up the immense beauty that is New Zealand. Just wanted to share a few of my favourite pics from the week, though I didn't really take all that many coz I was concentrating more on staying upright! There's a bajillion more on facebook for anyone who's left wanting!
Introducing to you my snow-buddies:
Joel (Joely) Chong, Muzza (MacGyver) Cheng, Ken (Oh Kenny!) Lee....

Lynzy Kow(poo)..

Viv (Twist & Shout) Fung, Chrissy (red bull gives me wings) Cheung...

...and Jubby (why so serious?) Kim.

Views from the road to Coronet Peak, Queenstown

The gorgeous slopes of Cadrona, Wanaka

Look it's me!! I'm a starfish snow angel :)

Meanwhile...Ken fashions himself a mighty odd-shaped snowball from the untouched back country slopes of Cardrona. Mighty spectacular views from here...

...obviously the perfect setting for a snowfight!!

Try this next time there's no kitchen facilities. Eggs + Kettle. Bring to boil. Thank you MacGyver!

By day we lived on Up&Go, muesli bars, chocolate, and fried potatoes. By night, we ate like royalty at a burger joint. If you ever end up in Queenstown, go and find your way to Fergburger, I promise you won't be disappointed.

The scene as we walked by the lake on our last day...

And a frankie-esque snap from a cute organic cafe called 'Bob's Weigh'.

Byeee!!!!
So the bug had a bite and the wheels are now in motion. Well, kinda. We haven't quite reached discussion of the who/what/where yet but at least it's on the agenda for a good chunk of time next year. As long as the camera's in one hand, and my husband in the other, I'm ready already! In the meantime, a few images that bring back a truckload of memories. I can't believe this was almost 2 years ago...

Jesus loves the little children...

All the children of the world...

Red or yellow...

Black or white...

They're all precious in His sight...

Jesus loves the little children of the world.

I wonder how these kids are doing. The crops in Presto have been bad due to unfavourable rains this season and they have only enough to feed themselves. They're also trying to build the walls of their first church with mud-bricks that must each be shaped and set and moulded by hand. Their first attempts were also ruined by the rains and though weary, they persevere with what they have. Pray that they may be encouraged, and remain faithful to the one true God who loves them more than the human mind can comprehend.
