The People's Chip
«« | home | »»

Lots to mention about the last weekend.....but first a review of The People's Chip! Trish managed to grab some of these and brought them home for me because she loves me everyone else seemed to be taking them for their significant others.

Anyway, I'll cut out all the background and assume you know all the hype from Hamish and Andy. To be honest....the gravy chip is a bit of a letdown. Trish and I didn't even finish the packet. I guess the gravy chip is to beef what the chicken chip is to.....chicken. At the end of the day, it's just glorified salt. Maybe I'll eBay the remaining half a pack of Gravy Chips....

So - in a rare weekend - we spent alot of our time drinking wine and eating chips and WATCHING TV!!!! Some moview reviews:

Lust, Caution - 3.5 stars
Most people I heard who watched this seemed to really like it and not just for the 'fleshy' story. The plot was great, but there wasn't enough character development to feel satisfied by the end of the film.

P.S. I Love You - 4 tears
A simple story well done. Trish started crying ten minutes into the movie and didn't stop until the end of the movie. This movie also showed me how hard it is to physically catch tears.

Deathnote Part 1 - 2.5 stars
It was good enough to hold my attention, but not good enough that I'd recommend it. My biggest beef is that it took like two and half hours to get through HALF the story. Rach didn't tell Trish that there's two parts....so....I'm looking up spoilers for the second half now.

i actually found the flavour grew on me. Its not mind blowing but I think its actually quite good. Peppery..

not to mention two guys our age manage to get their faces on a chip packet =D that in itself makes it awesome =)

Is that wine in trish's cup? cos it seems to be in a weird state of mid swirl?

wow the 2 guys on the front of the packet are enough to make me not want to eat

p.s. so the shirt fits well then?
p.p.s. i too watched "P.S. I Love You" this weekend... i didn't find it as sad as everyone made it out to be... but i didn't think it was that bad... bec thought it was crap tho haha

yessa, that's what happens when the husband wants self-portraits with the wifey :)

AND HE TRIED TO COLLECT MY TEARS!!!

Mmm....could so do with a glass of wine atm. Although I'm now a white drinker so that I don't stain my teeth =P

i'll give the chip a second chance tonight...

mario - this is a brilliant serious idea. find a way to satisfy the market of people our age who find it difficult to cook great tasting meals (especially for less than two people). that idea came up when I was thinking about getting your face on food packaging.

sam: i didn't think it was 90-mins worth of sad. but certainly a very sweet story. bec is a heartless...um....is heartless.

trish: apparently angel tears are very valuable and have healing powers!

em: red also stains clothing which we also found out on the weekend.

I just can't get into wine drinking. I just can't!

I liked Lust, Caution.

Im amazed that the liquid is in mid swirl as if you rushed to the camera, but somehow you look so still!!

big aww for the Angel tears comment!! now what about angel fart .. hahahaha... ok ok uncalled for :P
