Trying to broaden her ability as a photographer, I modeled for Trish as she spent some time learning about what it takes to take a good portrait. The sort of portraits we see in TIME and Vogue and Rolling Stone (not-so-much).....we take for granted how difficult it is to uncover someone's personality - the core requirement of a good portrait.
Anyway....these six are not necessarily the result of an established journalist portrait photographer....but it's a start. Did she capture the essence of JC?

...and for 10 bonus points...there's this photographer who I read about. Celebrity photographer who ONLY takes standard half-body portraits. Takes photos of politicians and also famous world figures. I can't remember his name. Anybody know?
i like #4 and #5. #1s not too bad....but that's your camera look. six kisses.

i really like the 2nd last one the best. It's different and you look relaxed. I reckon the other ones, 1, 3, 4, 6 make you look like you're straining because of the position and seems like a distraction to the real JC to me.... positioning of 2 is nice but maybe i prefer a harder shadow to bring out the mood!! my 2c

4 and 5 are definitely the most "JC" of the bunch (mainly cos in 4 he looks like he's playing an imaginary Xbox). 1 is definitely Joel's serious camera look ("think sexy thoughts"). I like the lighting in 3.
